If you require proof that LLS is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, please download our IRS determination letter.
Tax receipts
As you acknowledge your donors personally, LLS acknowledges them officially. Our thank you also serves as a tax receipt. The IRS does not require tax receipts for donations under $100.
- Offline donations from $100 to $249 are acknowledged via postcard.
- Offline donations greater than $250 are acknowledged via letter.
- All online donations (via your eFundraising page) are acknowledged via email.
If someone who donated $100 or more has not received an acknowledgement within six weeks of their donation, contact your team manager for assistance.
